Job Summary :
The ER Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.ER nurse coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Essential statistics is shared with fitness care crew participants and different unit clients thru documentation and oral communication. Responsibilities and duties:

Patient assessment and progress evaluation.

Able to exercise the Triaging device effectively.
·
Able to perform the primary& secondary survey
&perform the initial resuscitation measures of the trauma
patient
· Perform minor surgical dressing the use of aseptic technique.
· Assist docs in appearing processes beneathneath aseptic technique.
·
Follow scientific pathways as described in ER Protocols.
·
Follow nursing standards and policies.
·
Assist in code blue (CPR).
·
Know his/her role in Disaster management.
· Work
with paramedics and attend ambulance calls while required.
· Take the
nursing history, summarize data, and kingdom nursing diagnoses/affected person care wishes.
· Observe
and document signs, symptoms, and behaviors, which
includes the physiological repute of patients;
· Be
familiar with using all technological equipments in the intensive care unit as
mechanical ventilator, cardiac monitor, infusion pumps, defibrillator…etc.
· Perform switch system to the desired gadgets or areas.
· Execute
physician's orders for all assigned patients; effectively and nicely administer medicines and treatments.
· Perform
or help others to carry out right aseptic techniques, isolation processes, and contamination manage measures.
· Document nursing care in all assigned affected
person facts.
· Maintain
affected person's privateness and confidentiality of statistics and facts in any respect times.
· Demonstrate
ability to assess patient's understanding of and compliance with instructions
and health care teaching such as those regarding patient rights &
responsibilities.

Educational Responsibilities:
Under
the direction of the head nurse & Clinical instructor the nurse will:

Contribute to the identity of schooling wishes pertinent to the scientific area.

Participate with inside the scientific induction of all new nursing and assist staff.
·

·

·
Attend all required in-services training
programs.
· Keep up to date with mandatory training such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

Qualifications :
Education:
·
B.S.N, Technical institute of nursing or degree diploma in nursing.
Experience :-
·
1 year ER experience preferred.
Training :-
·
Must be
registered with the Egyptian Syndicate of Nurses and / or professional
registration body of origin.
·
50 hours
of training per annum mandatory.
·
BLS certified,
ACLS is preferred.
